A week for people who want to push their project forward, who crave focused time to write, who'd like to be less alone and a little bit taken care of while they do. I'm Marc Rettig, I'm a writer, and I want those things too. I hope you'll join me.

Montana Writers Week is a working retreat
a place that’s held my heart since I grew up nearby. Seven people (counting me), staying together at a beautiful little B&B, writing together in a small river town, nestled among miles of surrounding prairie and mountains.

There are no celebrity guests, no instructors, only peers.
There’s a light structure for making words every day, supported by other writers, with room for wonder in the schedule.

Our days will be shaped around blocks of writing time:
morning check-in, hours of writing time, afternoon peer reading and workshopping. Outings and adventures every other day, and optional workshops on the days we stay in.

The price is all-inclusive:
room, food and drink, a choice of places to work, essential supplies, rides, outings, my role as peer-host-facilitator, and the help of our Fort Benton hosts. Get yourself to Great Falls, and we’ll take it from there.
